Dr. Ivan Ferbežer

Dr. IVAN FERBEŽER is author of 350 bibliographic units and 6 monographies from the field of giftedness. He is puiblishes successfully home and abroad. He was been dealing with theory and practice of development of gifted children, students and adults throughout his working career. He presented his research experience cognition on slovene talents in Slovenia as well as the world as a long-term established member of ECHA European and WCGTC world association on giftedness at different expert conferences troughout the world. He is an official delegate and correspondent for Slovenia.

 

He was working with students of Pedagogical and Educational Faculty for educarion of gifted pupils and was mentor for about 100 diploma, Master+s and Doctor's works from the field of giftedness.

Dr. Ivan Ferbežer is known as expert connoisseur of interdisciplinary problematic of giftedness with expressive experience practical orientation which he also oroved for the last three years at Elementary schools (Kidričevo, Cirkovce).

In 2008 he received an eminent American Templeton International Fellowship at Belin Blank Center for gifted education and talent, Iowa University.

Dr. Ivan Ferbežer contributes to Slovenia area different novelties on the field of gifted movement, i.e: holistic approach to giftedness, care for cultural deprived and culturally different gifted children, equality among concepts, identification and education of giftedness, Renzulli's concept of giftedness, self-directed education of gifted pupils, gifted children at secondary schools, humanisation of education of gifted pupils, experiencing envy with gifted pupils, up-to date curricula models for education of gifted children, ethical dimensions of dealing with gifted pupils, etc.
